Personality: Despite his muscular physique and tall stature, Grayson is most commonly a kind individual with an open mind and heart, almost always speaking politely or at least honestly about whatever topic is at hand. He genuinely enjoys being around others, and meeting new possible friends, having a very positive outlook on what is going on near him, which will probably end up causing others to refer to him as a giant hugga-puppy of sorts. Very kind hearted and a tad fatherly, Grayson loves a fantastic conversation, and will talk for hours with someone he enjoys being around. If you are wondering how much Grayson likes you as a friend or possibly otherwise, just set a timer on how long he'll stay around and chat with you, even if there is not much of a topic. The longer he is there, the more likely you have a loyal and valiant friend that cares.

Slightly philosophical, Grayson enjoys intelligent quotes, books, and learning more about others in general be it a single individual, group, or society. Grayson is charitable to a literal fault, willing to go out of his way to give someone a hand, even if it puts him in a rather difficult situation. Normally wearing a friendly smile and looking to others with compassionate bronze eyes, Grayson generally tries to keep his personal side out of what he is doing from day to day. Slightly secretive about himself, he normally tries to keep the topic on the one he is conversing with, attempting to remove prying thoughts of what others wish to know about him, the exception being simple stuff like his line of work and what he likes.

However, befriending and gaining the trust of Grayson will allow one the chance to learn more about him so long as they do not make too big of a deal about it. However, one of Grayson's greatest flaws is his paranoia of not being prepared for something. He will often obsess over having his things put in their place at home and work, spending a good amount of time cleaning and maintaining what he owns.  

While patrolling and doing his police work, Grayson remains professional, polite, and kind, checking up on the shop owners and kittizens with a bit of a personal touch, occasionally making small talk and in his own way letting them know he is not just a cop, but a friend. If he is in front of a superior officer, Grayson will be very attentive and mentally strict, speaking more militaristically and maintaining proper posture and speech, his old military habits kicking in during that time.

Rarely showing a temper, one would not want to harm Grayson's friends. He may seem like a warm breeze when you meet the loyal Leonberger, however the canine may soon become a wild tempest of rage and aggression if you provoke him in the right way. Plainly enough, Grayson can be rather violent when dealing with someone that has harmed an individual near and dear to him, causing him to not show much compassion or well… mercy. If you harm one of his friends, watch out. This able-bodied dog is going to make sure you feel just as much pain if not more soon enough. Having trouble in the "remaining emotionally distant" portion of investigating or dealing with crimes, criminals and the like are another of Grayson's more easily exploited weaknesses. This can give others a chance to use him to their advantage if done properly, leaving the canine possibly oblivious to what actions have come to pass.

Biography: After completing high school as a single child, Grayson enlisted in the military right away, working for five years as pretty much a simple grunt. He did see some action, and was shot twice, but has since healed up very well. There was only really one instance that really stuck out for him, involving a burning building which by now only plagues his mind on very rare occasions. After serving for five years, Grayson got his honorable discharge, and decided to travel for a few years, learning what he could and meeting new people. Sure, he loved the military, and really enjoyed helping others, saving lives, and beating the bad guys, but he lacked friends and much of a life of his own, having to travel a lot for his work. So he set off on his own, meeting new folk as he traveled about for a few years, until coming across Kitty Katty City. Seeing the new turf off in the distance, he shrugged and grinned, deciding to try his chances at starting his life, and possibly settling down. So long as he could do what he loves, and make new friends, for once Grayson might consider sticking around.



Items: (Work) The stuff Grayson carries on the job as an officer of the law.

-Police Officer's Uniform – Obviously if one works as a cop, they have to wear the uniform. Grayson maintains his with sharp upkeep and OCD-like perfection. An officer of the law should always look his best! (Includes necktie)

-Colt M1911 A1 .45 Caliber Pistol (Government Issue) - This is Grayson's sidearm of choice for not only his law enforcement duties, but the weapon he carries for personal protection when he is not working. He was not fond of the lacking punch of a 9mm pistol that would typically be given to police as a standard issue weapon, so he decided to go his own way and get what he believed would be best for keeping him and others alive. Grayson will also refuse to go just about anywhere without his trusty "Colt .45", believing he should always be prepared for the worst. He will keep three magazines for the weapon with him, not including the one in the actual firearm itself when off duty, six if on the job due to the three small magazine pouches on his vest. This weapon is kept on a dropleg holster on Grayson's right thigh. Thankfully due to his body type and weight, Grayson can handle the recoil produced by this firearm.

-Smith & Wesson .500 Magnum – On the very very rare occasion where Grayson knows he is going into a situation where there will be a great amount of violence, he will carry this weapon, the most powerful production revolver in the world to date. It is hidden in an ankle holster beneath the pant leg of his uniform, cleverly concealed along with one ring of ammo, giving him a total of 10 shots at most. Having a massive amount of recoil, this revolver is just barely able to be kept under control when being fired, even by Grayson. In his most desperate moment, he may even dual wield his two pistols in an attempt to overwhelm a group of foes or hold them off long enough until backup can arrive. This is also the weapon he will use if his Colt .45 is lost, destroyed or otherwise until he can get another.

-Bullet resistant vest – Worn at all times while on duty, Grayson is very serious about having all of his gear set and prepared properly for whatever he may deal with on the job, knowing all too well that police tend to carry a lot of stuff with them when working. This vest holds the three spare magazines of possibly vital ammunition for Grayson's sidearm, as well as many other tools he is far more likely to use when working. Due to his prior experience in the military and general body type, Grayson has grown more comfortable with wearing the heavy vest despite the weight it can burden one with. It is labeled on both the front and back with "POLICE" in order to keep others from mistaking him for non-law enforcement.

-Radio – A vital tool for police, Grayson has a radio pouch on his vest that allows him to communicate with his fellow officers, and those at the police station. Nothing says important more than calling your buddies for help when things go terribly wrong!

-Taser - Another vital tool for subduing criminals in a non-lethal manner, Grayson carries his standard issue taser on his left side in a separate holster. Who said 10,000 volts of electricity had to be lethal?

-Handcuffs – Two pairs of quality police handcuffs, obviously needed to subdue and detain criminals. These are standard issue and contained in a pouch on Grayson's vest.

-Zip Ties – Think you can get away because Grayson already cuffed two baddies? Think again! He carries three industrial grade zip ties with him in another pouch on his vest just in case something happens to his handcuffs, or he is detaining a group of criminals.

-Spring-Assisted Switchblade – The very same tool Grayson carries on his days off. He typically uses this for opening things and fixing stuff if he lacks some of the simpler tools to do so such as a screwdriver. However he normally does not abuse his knife as a tool like that often, only doing so in desperation.

-Fingerless Sapper Defense Gloves – A pair of black leather gloves containing shot steel (Small steel pellets) and powdered steel in the knuckles, and padding on parts of the palm allowing Grayson to keep his hands safer while working. Not only do the gloves provide warmth on cold days, but they do allow him to hit significantly harder and with more force, not having to worry about breaking his knuckles on the face of a criminal if it comes to that.  

-Utility Belt – Keeping small things like a flashlight, nightstick, and his knife, as well as the parts that hold Grayson's dropleg holster in place, this is yet another vital part of the Leonberger's work attire, and uniform. He will carry a few other small things with him in the utility belt, including small tools and some very basic medical supplies.

-Badge/ID – Displayed proudly on the top left corner of his vest, Grayson's badge and ID are shown to prove who he is, and obviously what he does.

-Steel Toed Black Shoes – Dislike running on sharp broken glass in the city streets? Grayson certainly does, going far enough to purchase shoes to protect his feet. Despite how uncommonly they would be worn, he would much rather be safe than sorry while he is out doing his business, or work. Instead of wearing heavy boots, or something that would slow him down Grayson chooses to wear some normal shoes that have been given the added touch of a steel toe fitting, much like what a cook would wear in the restaurant business, but improved upon for combat and construction types of work.



Personal and Work Transportation: 2012 Dodge Charger (Black) Despite normally walking, Grayson recently purchased a car, customizing it to his needs and liking in order to use it for his police and personal business. It is equipped with custom suspension in order to handle the weight of all the gear and firepower carried within the charger's trunk. Furthermore, Grayson has added bullet resistant tinted windows, run-flat tires, and an armored exterior to protect not only himself but any others he may be riding with if things get heated be it on the job or off. He even keeps a spare .45 in the glove compartment, on or off the job. Due to traveling most of his life on foot or by cheap means, he had saved up a great deal of money from his time in the military, and doing jobs during his travels before reaching Kitty Katty City. As well, his current job as a member of the police force allows him to cut a part of his paycheck off from what he would normally get in order to purchase firearms and gear for his on the job duties. The pay cut is not large, but will last as long as it takes for the things Grayson purchased to be paid off.

Items Grayson has in the trunk of his car: These are all kept in a custom made trunk box that requires a four digit code and key to open. This box is fire resistant, impact resistant, and insanely durable. Spending a great amount of time and money on this custom armored gun and ammo case, Grayson managed to get it to work with his budget. Despite the box being extremely heavy and large, it is removable. (Not that he would want to remove it, that would take a good amount of time to do.)

-One spare S&W .500 Magnum - Includes three more rings of ammo.

-One Heckler & Koch HK417 Battle Rifle with 6x rifle scope - Includes 50 round drum magazine as well as five spare 20 round magazines of ammunition. This rifle is a last resort for Grayson, only being used if all hell breaks loose, and he has no other options but to rain bullets on his foes.

-One Mk 14 Enhanced Battle Rifle "M14EBR" with 12x rifle scope and bi-pod - Can be adjusted for night vision purposes, and includes three 10 round magazines. This battle rifle is Grayson's substitute for a sniper rifle, preferring to have a weapon that can be used in closer proximity to a target if the situation changes.

-One H&K MP7A1 Personal Defense Weapon (PDW) - Comes with three 30 round magazines. Understanding that sometimes one has to deal with close quarters combat, and protecting political officials while carrying hidden weapons, Grayson has purchased a personal defense weapon that will get the job done, and punch through body armor if it comes down to dealing with well-geared opposition.

-One spare bullet resistant vest - Kept for others that may end up in dangerous situations to wear, Grayson keeps a second vest in the trunk of his car to give out during hostile situations.



Items: (Off Duty) What Grayson wears and carries while not working.

-Colt .45 – As listed above, Grayson carries this firearm off duty as well as on the job, having a strong desire to maintain his own personal protection during his time outside work. Keeping this concealed in a holster kept on the small of his back, Grayson usually does not let the firearm show in order to keep it inconspicuous and out of the prying minds of those around him.

-Black Leather Jacket – Despite how it may make him look a bit sketchy, Grayson adores his warm leather jacket, wearing it over a simple t-shirt on his off days unless it is too hot out. He has a bit of a personal attachment to it, but the Leonberger would not lose sleep if something happened to the jacket.

-Dark Blue Carpenter Jeans – Preferring to keep his knees intact when doing his own thing outside of work, Grayson typically can be seen wearing a pair of jeans and a belt when he is out and about.

-Spring-Assisted Switchblade (Legal length) - Simply a convenient tool for Grayson, the spring assisted switchblade he carries is modeled after the Colt .45 he adores oh so much. It is primarily for doing simple tasks like opening boxes, letters, and anything that simply needs to be opened during the day. This is kept in the pocket of the carpenter jeans he wears on the right side, just above the knee. The blade is exactly three and-a-half inches, the general legal length in most cities.

-Fingerless Sapper Defense Gloves – A second pair of the very sapper gloves CJ would use during work, he generally likes wearing them on cold days, allowing him to generally keep his dexterity if his fur is not warm enough to do the job.

-Dog tags – Grayson's old dog tags, typically worn and hidden below his t-shirt. They are simply of sentimental value to him, and a reminder of what he once did for a living.

Physical Appearance Details:

Eye Color: Bronze, kind and compassionate when he is normally speaking to someone or greeting somebody new, only turning harsh, focused, and unforgiving while dealing with an unsavory individual, or criminal. Knowing he has to at least appear intimidating when giving orders to a suspect or detaining said suspect, he tends to look more aggressive and mean than he actually is.

Body Type: Tall and muscular, Grayson is fairly well conditioned due to his training regiment since enlisting in the military. He is not always as fast or agile as some felines, but he can hold his own with what agility and strength he retains as a Leonberger. Rather barrel-chested and retaining a good amount of upper body strength, Grayson still attempts to keep his whole body fit, not just his arms. Maintaining impeccable posture, and almost always standing tall and proud, a lot of Grayson's military habits have yet to fade or die, having been honed throughout his travels.

Fur Color/Pattern Having the complete black mask of fur around most of his face, head, ears, and torso, Grayson has only some brown fur on the back of his head, going all the way down to his legs and feet in a sort of marbled mix of tan, and brown, with some black fur being seen in small barely visible strips, which are more evident on his back. Darker on the front and back top halves of his body, the Leonberger's fur is lighter and more tan like on the lower halves, namely at his waist and legs, going down to his feet. Usually brushed before work and kept rather neat, Grayson's fur is not always "floofy" or wild like a typical Leonberger's without good reason.



Attire on the job:

While working, his bullet resistant vest is worn over his uniform, giving his torso a slightly larger look due to the gear and Kevlar and plate padding. Despite being in a relatively safe city, he does not remove the vest until he is off the clock, or he is going to some sort of formal event where one has a required dress code. He maintains his attire very meticulously, wanting absolutely everything about him to be in tip top shape. If the good guys are given firearms, the bad guys will probably have them too, right? Despite how much Grayson is actually carrying, a good portion of it is small stuff that Police or SWAT would really wear on the job or carry on or near them depending on the situation. This means Grayson would not be encumbered completely, obviously having been used to carrying things of even greater weight such as rifles, and heavier vests, etc. He utilizes his strength, stamina, and endurance to his advantage, relying on overpowering foes that would usually be feline in species, or even smaller, possibly weaker canine. Almost everything Grayson carries on his person is easily accessible, giving him the ability to grab what he needs quickly, draw, and use whatever it is, be it a firearm or flashlight. His holster for his weapon is not a traditional one, being military and an alternative that prevents others from drawing his weapon and using it against him, as well as misfires and accidents that would cause the firearm to go off unintentionally. This is one of the few ways Grayson takes precautions to prevent injuring not only himself, but others around him while still carrying a lethal-force tool.



Attire while off work:

Usually seen at least wearing a t-shirt of a darker color, black, blue, gray, or green, Grayson appreciates the simpler styles that provide purpose, not just looks. He will wear his leather jacket on cold days, the collar folded down a good majority of the time unless he is trying to look like a criminal for some possible reasons, as well as keeping his fingerless sapper gloves in his pockets unless they are already being worn. His jeans are worn secured tightly around his waist with a belt, usually colored black or brown, as well as hiding his carried .45 at the small of his back due to being off duty and normally wanting to remain inconspicuous. His jeans cover the top laces and tongue of his shoes, the tied ears of the laces having been tucked in the sides under the bottom of his foot to ensure that they will not come untied unless Grayson wants to remove said shoes. Normally remaining unzipped, his leather jacket is one of the more casual things worn on his person, his shirt also falling into that category with how it remains untucked, usually covering his belt line. Holding his dog tags securely and discreetly beneath his shirt, the chain for Grayson's tags are only slightly visible around his neck where the collar would be if he was wearing a fancier shirt.



Romance and Relationships

To be honest, Grayson knows little to nothing of the intricacies of the heart. He is very shy and uneasy around women when not working, and truly does not understand much about relationships and how all of that is supposed to work. Being completely straight, he only gets flustered around women, especially ones he has yet to earn the friendship of. Grayson however will remain incredibly polite and well-spoken, with the exception of his nervous stuttering and stammering. He will do things to the best of his abilities, but generally remain with an apologetic tone in fear of angering the woman he is talking to.

So in short, he's far more afraid of an angry woman than he would be afraid of someone pointing a knife at him. Don't ask about an angry woman pointing a knife at him because that may overload his poor puppy brain.

If one wishes to woo this dogged pursuer of justice, all they really have to do is be kind to him, and probably make some of the first moves. Grayson is not very keen on picking up the signs of someone who wants a relationship with him, so they would have to be quite blunt or straightforward. Being honest with him and getting the canine to feel comfortable and trusted are other fantastic methods to get him to open up a bit more and possibly make him feel safe enough to make Grayson stop stuttering and stammering so much. Trust, honesty, and true emotions are what Grayson would need from his potential partner, because crossing the Leonberger will have horrible negative results mostly for Grayson himself. Intelligence and a sense of humor can actually attract Grayson relatively quickly, giving him reason to laugh and discuss topics of interest for him instead of focusing too much on the social matters, and realizing he is still speaking with a woman, possibly calming him and allowing him to seem more at ease.
